“Radicalism is unconstitutional”, says David Dinis, at a certain point in this Political Commission, regarding the decision of the Constitutional Court on nationality law. Is the strategy then to demand the need for a new fundamental law? There opinions are divided. But they come together again when pointing out the need for more competence on the part of those who govern and legislate.

The nationality law is one of the topics of this week’s Political Commission, where we also cover the Government’s reaction to the general strike. Uniting the two themes is the same minister: António Leitão Amaro, who considered the strike “insignificant” and has been the face of changes to the laws that regulate immigration and nationality.
