In addition to the new law, the agenda included the approval of the fiscal packages 2026 for the 106 municipalities and fundamental reforms to the Penal Code in matters of feminicide, self-defense and sexual abuse.
One of the most significant moments of the session was the approval of the Autism Law.
Originally scheduled as the thirteenth point in the matters in the portfolio, a motion in attention of autistic people and their families who filled the plenary hall to witness the moment moved the opinion to the first place of the discussion.

“The Yucatan Autism Law is a reality.” However, he warned about the coming challenge: “The biggest challenge is coming. Because we have to see that this law is complied with and applied.”
