In follow-up to the actions promoted by the Government of Mexico, the Federal Consumer Prosecutor’s Office (Profeco) participates in the first Wellness Fair of the Michoacán Plan for Peace and Justicean initiative that seeks to guarantee that no home in the entity is left out of access to well-being.
The head of Profeco, Ivan Escalante Ruizhighlighted that the institution is integrated into this effort because “Protecting the family economy is protecting the dignity and well-being of Mexicans“In that sense, the agency will deploy activities that strengthen the capacities of communities and promote a more efficient use of resources.

Among the actions that will be carried out in the 13 regions of Michoacán that the event will cover, there will be carried out Home Technology workshopsdesigned to empower the population and provide tools that allow them to undertake and generate new economic opportunities. Likewise, they will be installed care modules and family economics workshopswhere people will be taught to optimize their budget and better face everyday challenges.

Joint effort
The attorney emphasized that this plan represents a historic effort of the Government of the Republicby integrating peace, justice and economic development actions in the same project. In this framework, the program “Yes to disarmament, yes to peace“, which seeks to reduce violence in communities. “It is of no use for a family to save on gas and electricity if they live with the scourge of violence. Peace, justice and the family economy go hand in hand,” he stated.
