CDMX mayors where there will be posadas

In the Tlalpan mayor’s officethe posadas will take place from December 17 to 21 at different points in the district. On Wednesday the 17th, at 6:00 p.m., the event will take place in the Communal Auditorium; on Thursday the 18th, at 7:00 p.m., in the atrium of the Parish of San Andrés Totoltepec. On Friday the 19th, the inn will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Avenida Chicoasén s/n, between Chemáz and Sinanche; on Saturday the 20th, at 6:00 p.m., on the basketball courts of Supermanzana 2, Narciso Mendoza, Coapa; and on Sunday the 21st, at 8:00 p.m., on the mayor’s esplanade.

For its part, Mayor Miguel Hidalgo announced a series of posadas that will be held until December 19, all starting at 5:00 p.m., in different locations. For December 17, posadas will be held at the Lago Alberto Lighthouse and the Miguel Hidalgo Deportivo; on December 18 at Deportivo Gran Libertador and Deportivo Constituciónntes; and on December 19 they will conclude in the Salesiano Park and the Six-Year Plan Sports.

States where there will be inns

Various states in the country are getting ready to celebrate the holiday season with posadas and cultural activities open to the public, which include live music, Christmas traditions and community gathering spaces.

In Celaya, Guanajuato, the Institute of Art and Culture will take the posadas to different Public Libraries in the city, with an agenda that includes musical and dynamic presentations for the whole family.

The activities will continue on Wednesday the 17th, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., in the M. Concha Quintanilla, FE Tresguerras and José Nieto y Aguilar libraries.

On Thursday the 18th, the celebrations will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Efraín Huerta, Luis Velasco y Mendoza, and Albino García libraries.

For Friday the 19th, there will be celebrations at 4:00 p.m. at the Pedro Ávila García library, in the El Lugar community, and at 5:00 p.m. at the Ing. Jaime Tapia Rodríguez library, in the Villas del Bajío neighborhood.

In Pachuca, Hidalgo, the municipal government announced the holding of a Mega Posada on Friday, December 19, in front of the emblematic Monumental Clock. The Christmas activities will begin at 7:00 p.m. and are aimed at the general public.

For its part, in Morelia, Michoacán, the fourth edition of the “Silent Night” Christmas Posada will be held on Saturday, December 20, in the Historic Center. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Sanctuary of Guadalupe and will include music, the traditional request for a posada, the lighting of the Cathedral and a popular festival with snacks.

In Morelos, the Ministry of Culture called on citizens to join the community posadas that are already taking place in different municipalities. According to Lourdes Arce, technical secretary of the agency, these celebrations will offer food, sweets and artistic activities for people of all ages, free of charge, with the aim of promoting coexistence and the Christmas spirit.
