BAYREUTH / LONDON (IT BOLTWISE) – The insolvent construction company ConceptBau GmbH has found a new investor for its residential project in Bayreuth. Projektbau König GmbH is responsible for completing the 21 planned residential units. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2026, with completion scheduled for mid-2027. This development brings hope for the project’s buyers and creditors.

The insolvency of ConceptBau GmbH temporarily brought the residential project on Erlanger Strasse in Bayreuth to a standstill. But now there is positive news: The insolvency administrator Peter Roeger from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has found an investor who will continue the project. Projektbau König GmbH from Speichersdorf, a subsidiary of the traditional construction company Hans König & Sohn, is responsible for completing the residential complex.
Modern condominiums with two to four rooms and living space between 54 and 101 square meters are planned. The central location near the city center makes the project particularly attractive. A quarter of the units had already been sold before the bankruptcy, and there are reservations for another quarter. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2026, with completion planned for mid-2027.
The insolvency of ConceptBau GmbH began in March 2025 when the company filed for bankruptcy. The Bayreuth district court then appointed Peter Roeger as temporary administrator. Insolvency proceedings were opened at the beginning of June 2025 and Roeger took on the role of insolvency administrator. He is supported by qualified business lawyer Holger Christian Buehler. Together with BGA Invest, the team carried out a structured sales process for the property.
Investors are also being sought for other ConceptBau GmbH projects. Further residential projects in Kulmbach and Hof are to be sold to Projektbau König GmbH. Discussions are being intensified for the project in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in order to also find an investor. Peter Roeger is confident that this project can also be continued successfully.
