CUPERTINO / LONDON (IT BOLTWISE) – Apple has released the first beta version of iOS 26.3, offering improved interoperability between iPhone and Android devices. Apple recently released the first beta version of iOS 26.3 for iPhone users, offering a number of new features to improve interoperability between iPhone and Android devices. One of the most notable innovations is the “Transfer to Android” system, which makes switching from an iPhone to an Android device easier. Developed in collaboration with Google, this feature allows users to wirelessly transfer photos, messages, notes, apps and more to a new Android device.
Another highlight of iOS 26.3 is the new notification forwarding system, which makes it possible to view iPhone notifications on a third-party smartwatch or other wearable device. This feature is currently limited to the European Union as Apple prepares for upcoming DMA rules that will force the company to support third-party devices. Apple has raised privacy concerns but is forced to comply with these regulations.
In addition to these features, Apple has made some minor changes in the wallpaper section. The Weather and Astronomy Wallpapers category has been divided into two separate sections, with new pre-made backgrounds added in the Weather category. These backgrounds further display the current weather conditions for the user’s location, while the astronomy wallpapers represent the current astronomical position of the Earth or solar system.
iOS 26.3 is expected to be released in late January based on release dates of previous iOS versions. Although this update is smaller than the previous iOS 26.2, a lot could change during the beta testing phase.
