Federal Revenue Roads and Bridges and Related Services (Capufe)is a decentralized public organization of the Government of Mexico, belonging to the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT)which operates and maintains federal roads and bridges. On the social networks of this organization, every day it is aware of the partial and total blockades of highways and roads in the country, which we shared with you this morning.

Capufe participates in projects for the construction and operation of general communication routes. The highest governing body of the organization is a board of directors chaired by the head of the SICT, Jesús Antonio Esteva Medina.

Roads released

  • In Veracruz, after an accident near km 056+700 of the Coatzacoalcos-Salina Cruz highway, of the Coatzacoalcos-Acayucan section; and near km 018+100 of the Poza Rica-Veracruz highway, of the Poza Rica-Cardel section.
  • In Tamaulipas, after removal of peoplenear km 035+900 of the Tampico-Cd highway. Mante.

Economic effects due to road blockades

The National Chamber of Motor transport Load (canacar) He spoke out against the threat of peasant groups to block roads again, warning that there will be “general chaos” if the mobilization takes place this Christmas season.

In a statement published yesterday afternoon, the institution stated that the protests would have economic, social and security consequences, including logistical delays, million-dollar losses, shortages of essential goods and damage to productive activity, for which “the groups that promote and execute said blockades must assume responsibility.”
